Release Date :2025-03-24

Decoration and decoration materials have a huge impact on human health. In recent years, with people‘s continuous attention to environmental protection, more and more environmentally friendly materials continue to occupy the market. Take interior wall coatings as an example, the vast majority of interior wall coatings are low-VOC water-based coatings. Waterborne coatings use water as a solvent or as a dispersion medium. The moisture content is relatively high and the organic content is relatively small. At present, the main methods for determining the moisture content in waterborne coatings include Carl Fisher method, azeotropic distillation method, gas chromatography, etc. In this paper, GC-4000A (TCD detector) gas chromatograph was used to determine the moisture content in the paint with reference to "GB18582-2020 Limits of Hazardous Substances in Building Wall Coatings, Determination of Moisture in Appendix A". The results show that the operation is simple and the test results are accurate, which can meet the requirements of the national standard. Attachment download
